All things tech, food, and hiking.
Hi! I'm Melody.
I was born and raised in California, studied at Tufts University in Boston, and worked in New York City as a software engineer.
I do my best to write a lot of Python on the weekdays, and try to hike just as often the weekends.
I've acquired a diverse set of skills over a broad spectrum of professional and academic experiences. I will find you, and I will fix your problems.
All I could think about freshman year of college was doing short track. So I quit school for a year to train in short track speedskating.
Thursday evenings in the summer were spent dancing the night away, doing the Lindy Hop. Nothing gets my foot tapping like Big Band, Jazz, and Blues.
Starting in middle school, we would take family trips to Taiwan every summer break. I've managed to keep that tradition even after I started working.
I lived in Nürnberg for a month with the most wonderful host family the summer before senior year of high school, after winning a German scholarship. It was my first time away from home.
I hated the outdoors growing up. The TV and computer were always more interesting. Then my parents dragged me to Yosemite one winter and I've been madly in love with our national parks service ever since.
There's no place like home. Surf, sunshine, and smiles :-).
